Foster Creek Dam Project – Water Storage DestratificationResMix 1000 |
|
Foster Creek Dam provides water to more than 1,000 consumers in the Victorian town of Foster. The reservoir also forms an integral part of drought management planning for the region. Resource managers experienced issues with stratification and excessive concentrations of dissolved manganese and iron as well as the potential for toxic Cyanobacterial outbreaks. To overcome these issues, South Gippsland Water required a flexible but robust solution with low power and running costs as well as minimal maintenance requirements.
